I’ll start with a short fable about my perfume.

I used to wear Chloé perfume for years until I was tired of smelling it on every other woman I stood by in the subway. It was sad because I really loved Chloé’s odor but couldn’t stand the thought of it being the odor of so many other women.

That’s where I came up with the idea of going to Sephora and look for a perfume that smells great, but with a familiarity of a local country band.

After 2 hours and 15 minutes of me smelling like I swam in perfumes soup (consist all the perfumes Sephora had to offer), I finally found my special one! It was great and unfamiliar- exactly what I was looking for. And it’s mine ever since (sorry, can’t share its identity here, Mu-ha-ha).

Why I am telling you this? Well, because to a certain extent, this need that I just described, of feeling unique, applies to anything you buy that helps you showcase your identity, which is, among the rest, your entire apartment content basically.

This horrible feeling of seeing the same wall art and furniture that you bought at Pottery Barn in someone else’s apartment, is a feeling that no one wants to have.

So, I decided to incorporate 3 online stores of home decor and furniture that are unfamiliar to the general public, but has the most beautiful home treasure the human eye can capture. Lets’ go.

No. 1; Home Stock

I found Home Stock one day via Instagram after someone posted a pic from one of their stores, which looked like a pink paradise of style and coziness altogether.

I immediately fell for them and started investigating who they are and what they do. Located in the Netherlands, with 6 stores and an online shop, Home Stock is a decor paradise.

According to their website, they provide international shipping services, so wherever you reading this from, you can almost definitely commit a purchase.

However, note that the website is in Dutch. You can bypass this by downloading google translate extension and translate it.

Here are my top finds from there:

No. 2; Tambur

Tambur is a home decor store located in Stockholm, Sweden with an online shop that handles international shipping via email.

I found out about Tambur after writing an article about Sebastian– the art director and buyer of the store.

The items are mostly Scandinavian, with high quality and great colors. If got the chance to see Sebastian’s cozy home, you can probably imagine the amazing items he’s bringing to the shop. I absolutely love everything there!

No. 3; Fishs Eddy

Fishs Eddy is a dishes store located in NYC with amazing, cool and fun dishes!

They ship only in the U.S. but are working on international distribution nowadays.

If you’re visiting in NYC you must go there, and you should definitely visit their online store.
